"Born in July 1983, Alaa Najd didn't start his career in fashion until he was 27, when he realized that he could not carry on in the business field, he then applied to study fashion design at ESMOD - a Paris - based fashion school with international programs, including one in Beirut.

After graduation, Najd nailed the jury prize that earned him an internship at Georges Chakra fashion house, his journey afterwards was marked with numerous collaborations with different well known fashion designers including Basil Soda and Caroline Seikaly. Not long after, he applied for Project Runway Middle East and was the inaugural winner of the first season.

The guidance he received during the program made him balance his creative style with an awareness of the commercial market forging a refined and polished identity.

Najd's signature style is minimal, classical and modern with an edge of complexity. His taste is influenced by architecture and Origami twists, which are the cornerstone of his innovative vision of the modern woman.

Alaa has established his own atelier and is relentlessly working on engraving his own legacy, identity and innovative vision onto the huge edifice of lebanese and hopefully internationally successful and influential fashion designers."
